Lawyer for the self-employed and businesses in the Axarquía

I help you start your business on the right footing, work with contracts that protect you and resolve disputes with customers, employees or contractors. I work mainly with self-employed people (autónomos) and small and medium-sized businesses in Nerja, Torrox, Vélez-Málaga and the rest of the Axarquía. My approach is preventive: good advice in time costs less than a lawsuit.

Why work with me

A local lawyer in the Axarquía

  1. Preventive adviceI review contracts and decisions before you sign or act, which is when advice is most useful and cheapest.
  2. A single point of contactYou always deal with me. I know your business and I coordinate court representatives (procuradores), economists and engineers when the matter requires it.
  3. Close by and in your languageOffices in Torrox Costa and Nerja by appointment, plus online and video call consultations, in Spanish or in English.

A lawyer for your business, not just for court cases

Most self-employed people and small businesses only look for a lawyer once the problem has already blown up: a customer who will not pay, an employee who sues or a penalty from the authorities. By then the options are few and expensive.

My work starts earlier. I review how you contract, how you get paid and how you document your business so that, if a dispute arises, you are in a strong position or can avoid it altogether. I specialise in civil procedure and in the law of obligations and contracts, and I have training in administrative and tax law. I am member no. 8,108 of the Málaga Bar Association (ICA Málaga) and have more than 10 years in practice.

How I can work with you

It depends on what you need:

  • A specific question. You can ask it in a written online consultation (€75, VAT included, with a reply within 12 to 72 working hours) or in a 30-minute video call (€75). You can also book an appointment at my offices in Torrox Costa or Nerja.
  • A one-off matter. Setting up a company, a contract, a debt claim or a dismissal. I explain beforehand what I am going to do and how much it will cost.
  • Ongoing support. With comprehensive legal advice you have a lawyer who knows your business, for a fixed monthly fee agreed according to what you really need.

Axarquía businesses, with customers from everywhere

Much of the local economy depends on tourism, hospitality, construction, retail and services for foreign residents. That brings its own situations: customers who sign up from outside Spain, work carried out in the customer’s home, busy hiring seasons or online sales. Each has rules worth knowing before you sign.

I work in Spanish and in English and, when the matter requires it, I work with trusted court representatives (procuradores), economists and engineers. You have a single point of contact and a clear explanation of every step.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask me most

Can’t find your answer?

If your question isn’t here, write to me or give me a call.

Do you only work with companies or also with the self-employed?

I work with both. In fact, most of my clients in this area are self-employed people and small businesses in the Axarquía: shops, workshops, restaurants, professionals and service businesses. Size matters less than getting things right from the start, because a self-employed person is liable for the debts of their business with everything they own.

How much does a consultation for my business cost?

The written online consultation costs €75, VAT included, and I reply within 12 to 72 working hours. The 30-minute video call also costs €75. If you prefer to meet in person, you can book an appointment in Torrox Costa or Nerja. For larger matters I give you a quote before starting.

Can I have a regular lawyer for my business without it being expensive?

Yes. With comprehensive legal advice you pay a fixed monthly fee, agreed according to the real needs of your business. That way you can ask me everyday questions, have contracts reviewed or reply to official demands without asking for a quote each time. I set out in writing what the fee includes and what it does not.

Do you work with businesses owned by foreigners?

Yes. Many of my clients are foreign residents who run a business on the coast. I work in Spanish and in English, and I explain how the Spanish legal system works at every step, from setting up a company to hiring staff or dealing with Hacienda, the Spanish tax office.
